Cristina Pedroche is one of the most famous faces on television and, especially, on Atresmedia. The Madrid native has been a fundamental part of various television programs of the audiovisual group for more than a decade, and despite being the main protagonist of all New Year’s Eve, her star program will always be Zapeando, the daily format of La Sexta, where she collaborates for several days a week.
However, during the delivery this Tuesday, March 5, viewers of the Atresmedia program witnessed a surprising change related to the Vallecano. The La Sexta show began, like every afternoon, at 3:45 p.m. However, the beginning was going to be marked by a last-minute change: Cristina Pedroche appeared sitting in the place normally occupied by the regular presenter, Dani Mateo.
The presenter greeted the viewers, introduced her colleagues and advanced all the topics that were going to be addressed during the delivery, without referring to the notable absence of her partner. But just before the first commercial break, the woman from Madrid announced that in a matter of minutes she was going to return to her usual seat because Dani Mateo was going to arrive at any moment. ”Unfortunately I have to go to my place because Dani Mateo is coming,” she said.
After the commercial cut, the collaborators’ table reappeared completely normally and with the presenter in charge of his duties. Moments later, it was Dani Mateo himself who made jokes about his slight absence and explained the reason for his lateness on the show.
”There has been an accident in the north of Madrid, I think there are no victims, but everything is under control,” the presenter revealed. Furthermore, Mateo confessed that at one point he was about to turn around and not go to work, taking advantage of traffic jams. ”I was already saying I’m not coming, to come to El Intermedio… But they called me from home and told me ”go over there because Cristina is the presenter and she is doing it very well and with you win,” he declared. ”You be careful because things are seen differently there,” Cristina Pedroche joked.
