Since last November, Genoveva Casanova’s life has changed radically. The Mexican businesswoman became a protagonist of the international press after photographs were published of her walking through the center of Madrid with the then Danish Crown Prince Frederick of Denmark. Some images that would cause both to take two very different paths, because while Genoveva Casanova was forced to take refuge and she has practically not been seen since then; Frederick of Denmark was crowned king.

Queen Margaret II made a historic decision and surprised her subjects during her New Year’s speech: she was going to abdicate her eldest son. A decision that was made in the institution for the first time in almost a millennium and that, in less than two weeks, became effective. However, the queen herself had assured that she was not planning to abdicate, so there are already those who point to the possible reason that would have led her to do so: Genoveva.

Much has been said since the announcement of Queen Margaret’s abdication, even more so because of the speed with which things were planned. The information does not stop happening, with Genoveva Casanova always in the spotlight of the press, since it seems that the real reason for this whole matter would have its key in the figure of the Mexican.

According to some journalists and experts in the Danish royal house, Queen Margaret had no intention of abdicating. This is how Pilar Vidal explained it in La Roca, where she stressed that “If Federico X has achieved anything with the Genoveva Casanova scandal, it is that this man ascends to the throne immediately.” What’s more, Vidal is convinced that “he owes that to himself for sure.”

Pilar Vidal’s comments come after, at the beginning of the week, journalist Paloma Barrientos assured that “this deeper friendship has existed for a year and the Danish crown knew it and they did not want a big problem,” explained Barrientos, who explained the possible reason for the rapid coronation: “If in the future he decides to separate as king, it is a very different thing.”

Furthermore, the journalist later explained that the Mexican and the current king had planned to meet next February. “Genoveva Casanova and Federico from Denmark have a face-to-face meeting pending. Certain situations must be resolved. It is not a fool’s errand,” the journalist explained in TardeAR.

A meeting that would not be in Denmark or Spain, presumably, and only intended to clarify their situation in the future. “If a deep friendship is maintained, a breakup that can’t be friends or anything…time will tell.”
