Shakira’s new life is already a reality on the other side of the pond. The Colombian singer has put land in the middle after her separation from Gerard Piqué, and, as the ex-partner established in the regulatory agreement on the custody and custody of their children, Milan and Sasha, signed last November, the Former soccer player agreed to allow his children to live in the United States with their mother.

As Ramón Tamborero, director of the law firm that defended Piqué’s interests, pointed out at the time, the well-being of the two minors prevailed in the points of the agreement, and Piqué came to make that resignation so that his children could go live in the United States and thus avoid legal proceedings. “Actually, no one has won here except the children,” Tamborero said.

The agreement establishes that Milan and Sasha will be entirely with their father in the three vacation periods throughout the school year: Thanksgiving, Winter or Christmas and Easter or Spring break, as it is known in the United States. The authorized guard and custody will also be for the former player for ten days of each month and during the summer vacations they will be distributed in a proportion of around 70/30% in favor of the father.

These periods should not be mandatory if both parents agree to the eventual changes, but what was set in writing in the agreement was that Piqué can either go to the US to be there with them or pick them up and take them to Barcelona, where the children continue family ties and friendships.

Lastly, if Piqué decided to settle in Miami in the future to be closer to his children or for any other work or personal matter, this agreement establishes that the situation would change completely and everything previously mentioned would be extinguished, which would be replaced by a fully shared custody regime.
