The 080 Barcelona Fashion is already ready for its 33rd edition. It will be held from April 9 to 12 in the modernist venue of Sant Pau, which seems to have become the permanent headquarters of the fashion catwalk promoted by the Generalitat of Catalonia and which promotes sustainability, circularity, diversity and inclusivity.
The brands and designers that will present their new collections for spring-summer or next fall-winter have also been confirmed. There will be a total of 24 and those that will be released are Hoss Intropia, Guillermo Justicia, Ga Gó Ó Studio, Avec Amour and Velásquez. In addition, this edition will once again feature Free Form Style, the pioneering brand in designing fashion adapted to different disabilities.
Hoss Intropia, one of the debuting brands on the Catalan catwalk, is a reference in dressing women and has stores outside of Spain. Guillermo Justicia is a very promising young Catalan designer, whose work has attracted the attention of magazines such as Vogue, and has also dressed artists such as Sofia Coll or Raoul Vázquez.
Ga Gó O Studio is the brand created by Valencian Marcos Gamón, who wanted to study Design after spending his entire childhood and adolescence in the small women’s fashion store that his mother owned. MarÃa Undo and Daniel de Villanueva, the designers of Avec Amour, are also from Valencia, based on the different artistic disciplines that the two cultivated. The latest new brand is Velásquez, by Colombian Mateo Velásquez, whose men’s designs are a mix of his own roots, as well as his experiences in Madrid and London, where he has lived.
The next edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion will also feature Jnoring, which was on the catwalk in 2015. A brand that declares itself to be inclusive, welcoming all genders.
Custo Barcelona will once again give its international touch after parading in New York and Madrid. Lola Casademunt by Maite is also faithful to the Catalan catwalk after her time in Madrid and having dressed the academics responsible for the Gaudà awards.
Dominnico will once again revolutionize the catwalk with his slow fashion proposals and his staging. He also wants to revolutionize the 080 404 Studio, after having sneaked into the closet of Milena Smit or Dua Lipa.
The Escorpion brand will present a collection that will reflect its mastery of knitting in the brand’s almost 100 years of history. Sita Murt will also demonstrate that it is a reference brand in knitting and dressing women. Maite Muñoz, the soul of Lebor Gabala, will show her new collection with top quality fabrics and materials. Menchen Tomas is another of the brands faithful to 080, with its elegant designs designed for the party and the red carpet. Simorra will show its good work in conceptual design and pattern making.
And, of course, Txell Miras, the greatest exponent of independent fashion design in Catalonia, could not be missing. Completing the 33rd edition of the catwalk are Eñaut, The Label Edition, Martin Across, Bielo, Habey Club, Larhha and Compte Spain.
