The Catalan Audiovisual Media Corporation (CCMA) has announced this morning that Laura Escanes will be in charge of presenting a new adventure reality show on TV3: La travessa. With this, she starts a new project very different from what she used to do in the programs in which she has appeared. She stops being a guest or a contestant to become in charge of directing them.
This new Catalan television program will search for the fastest expeditionary couple and will present them with a check for 10,000 euros. To do this, the contestants will have to cross a dangerous route that will pass from the Vall d’Aran to Cap de Creus. Scanes will be in charge of guiding the explorers in this experience.
“I am very excited, I can finally tell you that I will be the presenter of La travessa”, this is how Escanes herself explained it, visibly euphoric, through a video published by the chain and herself. “It makes me very excited,” she confessed.
The chain alleges that Laura Escanes accumulates more than 3 million followers on social networks to justify this decision. With this, she intends to reach a younger audience that could be attracted by the appearance of the influencer. Although the reality show will be released on TV3, it will be released exclusively through OTT, the CCMA’s new content platform.
On the other hand, it seems that Laura Escanes has made the decision to comment, whenever she can, on the age difference in relationships. The last time she was on the Etirando el chicle podcast, presented by Carolina Iglesias and Victoria MartÃn. “What bothers me about the debate is that there are only older men giving her opinion, and there are no young women,” said the influencer. A dart that could be directed at her ex-partner Risto Mejide.
A few weeks ago Mejide himself was interviewed on the Focus program on the same subject. Something that would not have sat well with the model. “Everything was to whiten and soften the speech, all very romantic,” silencing “other opinions,” Escanes said.
