After committing the murder, the King of Cachopo tried to dispose of the body of the young Honduran woman in a warehouse in the Madrid neighborhood of Usera, owned by Román, where he dismembered her body and placed her remains in a suitcase that ended up being burned. Shortly after, the National Police found the remains of Heidi Paz and César Muñoz fled to Zaragoza, where he hid under another identity. His arrest occurred on November 16, 2018 and in 2021 he was sentenced to fifteen years in prison for the crime of homicide.
