Daniel Alonso was born in Toro, a small town in the province of Zamora, on September 20, 2001. Few could then expect the meteoric career that awaited this young man, who now rubs shoulders with the biggest celebrities in the virtual world in Spain. Under the nickname Plex, this YouTuber has managed to capture the attention of more than 12 million followers with the most colorful and striking adventures and experiences.

Such numbers and stories to tell have earned him a seat this Wednesday on the set of El Hormiguero, after interviews with Penélope Cruz and Brigitte Nielsen. Plex has been able to talk at length with Pablo Motos about his life, his channel and the great craziness that has spanned his 22 years on the planet, among them the difficult mission of emulating Phileas Fogg and Willy Fogg and completing a trip around the world in a total of 85 days.

However, the first of the striking details of his interview occurred even before sitting in the chair. During the traditional entrance on the set, Plex hugged Motos, making clear the obvious height difference between the YouTuber and the presenter. According to several sources consulted, the Zamorano is 1.97 meters tall, one of the tallest guests in the history of the program, which left Pablo Motos’ head on his forearm.

Alonso’s entry into the San Sebastián de los Reyes studio has caused a sensation on the networks, in particular this notorious difference of centimeters between the driver and the guest. “Plex beats Pablo Motos by 5 heads, I piss myself, hahahaha,” wrote a user through X (Twitter). “Pablo looked like the little guy next to him, the kid Socorro is 1’97” or “I almost pissed myself seeing the height between Plex and Pablo, it’s just that I stay-” are other notable responses.

The motorcycle seat has been another outstanding element. In previous weeks, several users had noticed significant differences between the position and height of the guest and presenter seats, in order to square both on camera. One of the most recent examples was that of Chanel, in a case that has been repeated with the visit of the Zamorano. On this occasion, the differences have been shortened so as not to cause image problems.

In the case of the Catalan singer, who came to El Hormiguero to present her album Agua, social networks attacked Motos for an attempt to disguise the artist’s height. “Chanel’s chair is on the -1 floor of Atresmedia”, “she seems like a joke, but she is not. Pablo’s chair is higher than the guests’ or “Pablo Motos’s fragile masculinity is worthy of study, look at Chanel’s chair” were some of the notable comments on X or Instagram.
