2024 began with one of the great news of today’s social chronicle: the wedding of José Luis Martínez-Almeida and Teresa Urquijo. After months of rumors and speculation, a few days ago what was already an open secret was confirmed: the couple will pass through the altar on April 6.
According to Semana magazine, the mayor of Madrid and the Madrid analyst will say “yes, I want” in a religious ceremony and the subsequent celebration will take place at the ‘El canto de la cruz’ estate, owned by the family of the bride and located in the Madrid municipality of Colmenar Viejo, on the outskirts of Madrid.
Since their courtship was revealed, the couple has become one of the most talked about in the media today, which is why their wedding has already been classified as one of the most anticipated of the year. This Friday, journalist Kike Calleja revealed details of the ceremony and the suits that the bride and groom will wear on such a special day on the Telecinco program, Let’s See New.
The Telecinco collaborator began his speech by talking about the expected wedding dress. ”Teresa Urquijo is going to wear the dress that her grandmother wore at her wedding and that her mother later wore. It is a modified suit and she has taken it to have some changes made to the Cristina Navascués Atelier. “It is a silver-colored embroidered fabric,” he assured.
Regarding the jewelry that the Madrid analyst will wear on that special day, the collaborator confessed that he had not yet decided what to wear, but “they do already have a very important jewelry box.” For his part, the mayor of Madrid chose to have his morning suit made at the Serna Tailor Shop. ”They are the same ones who made the jacket for Princess Leonor on the day of the Constitutional Oath,” stated the journalist.
Regarding the religious ceremony, Kike Calleja revealed that the couple had not yet decided whether to celebrate it inside the farm of Teresa Urquijo’s grandmother. ”They also have the Basilica of Colmenar Viejo reserved,” the journalist asserted. ”They also tell me that it’s not going to be a wedding with a lot of people, it’s going to be quite small,” he pointed out.
