Finally, the day came. This Friday, Sálvame said goodbye to its audience after fourteen years on the air. The last program was an afternoon full of emotions and beautiful words, but also moments of tension, something characteristic of the format. After the bitter end of the program, María Patiño had to dry her tears quickly to reconnect with all of Spain to present the Deluxe. There she threw a dart at all those presenters who have not said goodbye to the program, including Ana Rosa Quintana.
The Galician presenter admitted, after the start of Deluxe, that she had not yet been able to assimilate that Sálvame will not be broadcast on Telecinco every afternoon. Some difficult emotions to process that she also had to contain for the evening program. But Patiño had a final thrust in store for those colleagues who have not said a single word about the end of Sálvame, a program that has earned the affection of a large part of the Mediaset public.
Patiño’s ‘zasca’ took place while Pilar Vidal sat down for the first time in the polygraph of the renowned program. María Patiño asked him the question: “Have you been much happier in Sálvame than in the Viva la vida program?” “No”, answered the guest. It was then that María remembered the presenter of the now extinct Mediaset space, Emma García.
“Hey, by the way, a kiss Emma García, because I am not going to forget the presenters who have said goodbye to us. And those who have not, I take it very seriously,” declared the Socialité presenter, to applause from the public. “Very good,” the Deluxe collaborators expressed aloud. A dart that many interpret that it can go towards Ana Rosa Quintana, who has not had words of affection towards the program led by Jorge Javier Vázquez for more than a decade.
While this program was taking place, Ana Rosa Quintana held a party at her house to say goodbye to this season of El Programa de Ana Rosa. There she could see Cristina Tárrega together with her husband Juan Muñoz, with whom she posed smiling. Among the reporters and collaborators who did not miss the party, it was possible to see Miguel Ángel Nicolás, Mayka Navarro, Beatriz Archidona, Marisa Martín-Blázquez, Alessandro Lequio or Eduardo Inda, among many others. A meeting in which all the workers were able to enjoy an evening of disconnection, away from the sets, their usual meeting place.
After the cancellation of Sálvame, which lived its last program yesterday after fourteen years on the air, a new stage begins in Telecinco and in its afternoons. The time slot will be led by Ana Rosa Quintana, who will be present both in the morning and in the afternoon. However, this format would arrive after the summer, and during the summer it would be the new program Así es la vida, by Sandra Barneda, which would fill the void of Sálvame. Now Quintana is already charging batteries to be able to face this new professional challenge, and the spectators and collaborators of Sálvame mourn the loss of her.
