Four years ago the world of soccer mourned the loss of José Antonio Reyes. The Spanish soccer player died at the age of 35 in a terrible traffic accident in Seville. Sad news that shocked an entire country.

After his death, the soccer player’s inheritance should have been distributed among his relatives, but what they did not imagine is that this money would cause them so many problems. To begin with, the Sevillian player did not make a will at the time, so the situation worsened even more.

But the real problems arose when they found out that the Sevilla player had left 18 mortgaged properties. Some payments that no member of his family has been able to cope with. Therefore, as they have told in the Antena 3 program Y ahora Sonsoles, the athlete’s family is about to be evicted.

For this reason, justice has ordered the properties to be put up for auction. The first of the houses to be auctioned will be the family home where the soccer player lived in his hometown, Utrera, with his wife, Noelia, and his three children. The outstanding debt is 430,000 euros. Other properties that have been seized are a townhouse and a flat in Utrera, a luxury villa in Madrid, an apartment in Cádiz and seven premises in Bormujos, Seville. All this would be valued at almost 6 million euros.

The auction of the property will be open until June 26. The program connected live with the footballer’s town. The journalist said that the relationship between Reyes’s parents and his widow is null and that only the player’s parents remain in Utrera.

His wife, Noelia, was returning to Jaén, her family’s land, with her three children. José Antonio Reyes’ father, Francisco, confirmed that they are still devastated by the death of his son and that they are not aware of what is happening with the inheritance.
