Every night different singles and singles walk through the doors of First Dates with the goal of finding love. However, the viewers of the Cuatro space presented by Carlos Sobera are more than accustomed to the fact that anything can happen in the different dates between the diners. Some manage to leave excited and hand in hand with someone special and others, however, have to settle for having an entertaining evening.

Manuel, a 68-year-old bachelor from Seville, confessed as soon as he arrived at the restaurant of love that he “liked to like it.” ”I like to walk down the street and if they pass me they say ‘how well groomed he is,”’ he declared. After dedicating his entire life to selling clothes, he had already been retired for three years. ”I have 300 ties and 300 shirts,” he commented. He was looking for an educated, cultured, curious, hyperactive woman with an elegant style.

His date was going to be Africa, a 62-year-old retired performing arts teacher, who considered herself a very flirtatious person. The first reaction among the singles was very different. While Manuel was delighted with her date, Africa was greatly disappointed. ”My first impression was the tie,” she commented, laughing.

Furthermore, the single woman, who did not miss any details of their date, noticed that Manuel was wearing a wedding ring on his ring finger. An element that he was not particularly excited about. ”On one of these dates, one of those rings…” she declared. Shortly after, Laura Boado accompanied the couple to her table, where they began the evening talking about their ages. A fact that confirmed the lack of physical attraction that Africa had felt. ”I don’t have any prejudice, but it represents an age that for me is older,” she said.

However, Manuel seemed increasingly excited about the single woman, who surprised the bachelor with her profession and hobbies. ”The fact that she has been a music teacher gives her a lot of sensitivity. “She seems very elegant to me, she knows how to be, she has an exquisite demeanor,” he commented. But Manuel’s enthusiasm was not enough for Africa, and the more she discovered about him, the less she liked him. ”I think the way she is dressed is a very classic style,” he asserted.

The date progressed and the couple couldn’t fit in romantically. But what seemed like a quiet dinner between two people with common interests turned into a very tense situation. The single woman said that she had roots in Paris and the bachelor said that one of her old dreams was to the French capital. ”The thing is, I’m afraid to go now with all the immigration there is,” said the bachelor. ”The topic is not for a first contact, it is very difficult to agree,” Africa confessed.

However, Manuel insisted with his argument against immigration. ”They are people with another culture, who want to impose their customs,” he said. A statement that did not please Africa at all. ”I can’t be with a racist person because for me he comes before all tolerance,” he asserted. In the final stretch of the dinner, the bachelorette discovered that the ring that Manuel was wearing was just a seal and this prevented the bachelorette from paying for the dinner. ”It’s rancid,” she said. Therefore, the couple’s destiny was more than decided and in the final decision, the single woman rejected Manuel due to lack of chemistry.
