It was the chronicle of an announced abandonment. After just one week of adventure and survival in Honduras, Patricia Donoso has decided to leave the contest permanently at the gala on Thursday, March 9.
The Survivors 2023 participant surprised just a few hours after disembarking in Cayos Cochinos, last week, announcing her intention to leave the program. Although she then ended up being convinced by the team to continue, she has finally communicated to Jorge Javier Vázquez her final decision to leave Honduras and return to Spain.
Since there is no compelling reason to justify the abandonment of Donoso, such as a health reason, many are now wondering what consequences this early and sudden end can bring for her in Survivors. And the truth is that this is not the first time something similar has happened.
The abandonment of Azúcar Moreno in the 2019 edition was very famous. The sisters Encarna and Toñi Salazar participated in the program that year when, in a similar way, they decided to put an end to their participation in it. Then, they had to face the harshness of Jorge Javier Vázquez live and a veto imposed on them in all Mediaset programs that did not end until last 2022, that is, for three long years.
Patricia Donoso assumed that she will be banned from Survivors and other Telecinco programs, judging by the words she used while announcing her decision to Jorge Javier. “I know the consequences and what perhaps hurts me the most is that they separate you and me on television, but if it’s the price I pay,” she said.
“This is going to bring consequences and that we spend a long time without a relationship, which hurts me,” replied the presenter of the survival reality show, confirming the worst suspicions of Donoso and the viewers. Therefore, it is very likely that the contestant will disappear from the screens for an indefinite time.
Another sanction that Patricia Donoso could have to face is economic. Depending on the clause signed by the contestants before starting the adventure, there could be a fine of several thousand euros for those who, like her, decide unilaterally to leave the program.
Of course, these measures could not only affect the psychologist and lawyer. Another of the Survivors 2023 participants, Katerina Safarova, has also repeatedly threatened to leave the contest, doing it again at the gala this Thursday. However, Jorge Javier Vázquez managed to convince her to continue with her stay in Honduras.
