Oppenheimer has been the great winner of the 81st edition of the Golden Globes, the prelude to the long-awaited Oscar Awards. The film directed by Christopher Nolan won five awards, beating the other big favorite, Barbie, which only won two of the nine awards for which she was nominated.
Cillian Murphy won the Golden Globe for best dramatic actor for his portrayal of physicist J Robert Oppenheimer, considered the father of the atomic bomb. Best supporting actor went to Robert Downey Jr., who won his first Golden Globe for his portrayal of politician Lewis Strauss. Nolan won the award for best director.
Among the series, the winner was Succession, which won four media with its last season. In addition, The Bear shined in comedy and Bronca in miniseries. It was also a big night for Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Creatures, which took home the award for best comedy or musical.
