This coming Friday, March 22, Shakira will release her latest album, Las mujeres ya no Lloran. One of her most anticipated new songs is Última, a song in which the artist opens her heart again and talks about her breakup with Gerard Piqué. “I told myself, I have one more song here and I have to spit it out or I won’t be able to do it, you know. I’ll drown. I need to get this out,” the Colombian recently explained in an interview on Apple Music 1.
To the surprise of her followers, the singer released this Thursday some images of the video clip for Punteria, a song in collaboration with Cardi B and which features the participation of Lucien Laviscount, the actor who plays Alfie in the series Emily in Paris.
In the publication you can see Shakira and the British man very complicit in an environment with pink as the protagonist. He appears dressed in white pants with rolled up sleeves, while she wears a pink Di Petsa dress called Pink Venus Wetlook, a spectacular semi-transparent design that costs more than 5,370 euros.
The most striking detail of the singer’s styling is her pink hair, a color with which she recovers the Mermaidcore trend that triumphed last spring. In the images of her you can see the Colombian with long curly hair and a gradient tone in pastel pink, with dark roots and the fantasy color that gains intensity towards the ends of her.
Shakira has already relied on this tone on other occasions, such as in the video clip for Copa Vacía, the song she released last year with Manuel Turizo and where she could be seen transformed into a mermaid. The artist then added two of the great trends of the moment: Mermaidcore and Barbiecore. “The figure of the mermaid in this video is very symbolic and represents this moment in my life very well because many know that I am on the path back to myself,” she noted on her social networks.
Also in 2016 she appeared in the video for Chantaje, alongside Maluma, with a slightly more intense pink. Five years earlier, she had already performed at Rock in Rio Brasil with this temporary change of look.
Pink was one of the star colors during confinement. There were many girls who took advantage of this mandatory closure to transform their look with this fantasy color, as well as renew their haircut or dare with bangs.
