In a recent intervention as a collaborator at the ‘TardeAR’ VIP table, Mario Vaquerizo starred in a tense confrontation with Xavier Sardá, questioning the program’s choice to treat the arrival of a cold and snow storm in Spain as its main topic.
Alaska’s husband expressed his discontent, stating: “The news would be that we were in a bikini in the month of January. That would be the news and not this”, thus unleashing the scuffle with Sardá.
Tensions reached their peak when Xavier Sardá accused Vaquerizo of not paying attention to the program and being distracted while meteorologist Laura Madrueño offered the weather forecast. Sardá expressed his annoyance live, pointing out: “Mario, you haven’t paid attention at any time. Laura was working and you keep talking non-stop.” This direct criticism did not go unnoticed, generating an immediate response from the singer.
Mario Vaquerizo defended his position by stating that he was reflecting on the relevance of constant coverage of meteorological events, stating: “The news would be that we were in a bikini in the month of January. That would be the news and not this.” However, his response did not convince Sardá or other program collaborators, such as Beatriz Archidona, who pointed out his lack of respect for Laura Madrueño’s work.
Lolita Flores intervened in the debate, expressing her opinion in favor of informing the audience about meteorological changes. Meanwhile, Xavier Sardá reproached Vaquerizo for her attitude, calling her a “denialist.” To this, Vaquerizo responded: “You are angry with everyone, I don’t know why,” thus evidencing the tension present on the set.
The confrontation between Mario Vaquerizo and Xavier Sardá has revealed the differences of opinion about the relevance of reporting on meteorological events and the different ways of thinking of the collaborators in the ‘TardeAR’ program.
