Telecinco advances the end of 'Factor X' due to its low audience

The famous talent show ‘Factor

After the broadcast of only five galas, the program, presented by Ion Aramendi, will see a notable reduction in the number of planned deliveries, cutting the initially planned broadcasts in half. This means that the final gala of the contest will arrive much sooner than expected.

This drastic decision made by Mediaset and the production company Fremantle responds to the low audience ratings that the program has registered since its premiere. According to the aforementioned media, ‘Factor X’ has fallen far short of the network’s expectations, which has led to its ending being brought forward to minimize losses and free up space on the grid for other content.

With this cut, the live galas of ‘X Factor’ will be reduced to three instead of six, as originally signed and planned before the grand finale.

The first of these shortened galas will be broadcast on Monday, May 27, and the program’s finale will take place on June 10. This decision affects both the contestants and the fans of the show, who will see their time to meet and support their favorites reduced.

The premiere of the program on April 17 obtained less than 8% share, which led the network to change its broadcast day for the second gala. Despite these efforts, the average viewership has been an unsatisfactory 7.2%, with barely half a million viewers, well below what was expected for a format of this magnitude.
