Susanna Griso is one of the most recognized presenters in our country. The program that she hosts in the mornings, Espejo Público, usually analyzes all the relevant news of the day in different areas, one of them, politics. The space always tends to have experts who very often do not agree with her opinions. However, Griso has very rarely exchanged words at the table, something that changed this Friday, when she was forced to intervene and stop Chema Crespo.
It all happened after the director of Público offered some controversial words about Francina Armengol, who has been involved in a plot involving the purchase of masks during the COVID-19 pandemic. Various media have reported in the last few hours that the president of the Congress of Deputies and former president of the Balearic Islands bought defective masks and endorsed said purchase. Many throw it in her face that it was not until three years later, she was about to leave the Balearic government, when she claimed for them.
This issue has created a debate at the program’s political table. “The order has been placed satisfactorily, when they are in a warehouse and have never been used,” said Susanna Griso. “The outgoing administration, that is, chaired by Armengol, has to leave the government of the Balearic Islands and leaves the file instructed,” said Chema Crespo at the time.
Crespo’s statements, totally contradictory to the opinions of the rest of the table, made the presenter jump, who seemed totally scandalized. “Three years later! The moment the elections are called and she knows that she can leave the government, as happens because the PP wins them, is when she decides to complain. It takes three years,” she said.
Far from leaving his perspective aside, Crespo defended that he was “on time.” “In time so they wouldn’t cut off his head?” Susanna said, hinting at irony. “In any case to seek compensation for the administration of money…”, said the collaborator, who at that moment was surprised by the presenter’s statements. “No Chema, forgive me, don’t treat us like fools, what you want is to protect yourself, you are not looking for compensation,” the journalist stated.
