Risto Mejide continues adding achievements. The versatile presenter of Viajando con Chester will embark on a new professional adventure as moderator of the first electoral debate between the candidates for the Community of Madrid. This has been communicated by Mediaset less than four weeks before the event, which will be the first date with the polls this year.

Mejide will show his facet as a moderator in a debate within the program Todo es mentira, which will be broadcast next Tuesday, May 9 at 3:50 p.m. on Cuatro. Likewise, the presenter Marta Flich will be in charge of introducing the six thematic blocks around which the debate will be structured.

This anticipated debate will be held three days before the official start of the electoral campaign, thus counting on the participation of Alfonso Serrano, general secretary of the PP in Madrid; Juan Lobato, PSOE candidate; Mónica García, candidate for Más Madrid and Alejandra Jacinto, candidate for Podemos.

In order to be fair, a lottery will be held to determine the order in which the candidates will participate. The first question to answer will be: Why are these elections key to the future of the Government of Pedro Sánchez? After answering it, the candidates will participate in a debate that will go through five different blocks: Economy and Taxes; Health, Youth and Housing; Environment; and Post-election Pacts. Finally, each candidate will have a Golden Minute in reverse order of their parliamentary representation.

To ensure veracity and transparency, the Todo es mentira team will verify the veracity of the data provided by each candidate during their interventions; and in the event of a dispute over verifiable data, the fact-checking team may be asked to verify it, thus communicating the result of the investigation to the spectators during the debate.

Risto Mejide will also have the company of Antonio Castelo and Virginia Riezu, comedians and regular collaborators of the program who will be able to intervene as commentators in the political face-to-face.
