One of the first decisions that Marta Ortega made as president of Inditex was to democratize fashion and get closer to the luxury sector. The businesswoman outlined a strategy that has been successful and has included exclusive collaborations such as Steven Meisel, Narciso Rodríguez and Harry Lambert.

Nowadays it is not unusual to find designs in Zara stores that cost 200 or 300 euros, prices that were unthinkable a few years ago. But now Inditex’s flagship has put on sale a coat that is not affordable for everyone.

The brand has surprised its clients with a double-sided coat, one of the star pieces of this fall-winter, which stands out for its brown color, one of the most versatile tones since it combines with practically everything – a very successful combination is with white or black garments – and it is also timeless.

The knee-length coat is made of leather and has a beige shearling lining that makes the piece very warm. It has a lapel collar, a pair of front pockets and a front button closure. Its price? 499 euros, an amount that not all of her clients can afford.

Despite this cost, which is not popular and moves away from the low-cost concept that characterizes the brand, the design has been sold out in record time. At this time it is no longer available in the three available sizes (XS-S, M-L and L-XL) and at the moment it is not specified if it will be on sale again.

Double-faced coats and jackets have become very fashionable in recent years due to their comfort and versatility. These are pieces that can be found in various styles, from the biker version to the coat, and that guarantee not to get cold thanks to their shearling linings that can be found in different shades.
