Sofía Vergara, apart from the controversy with Pablo Motos: "I had to learn to put coke up my nose"

The acclaimed actress Sofía Vergara is visiting Spain to promote the new Netflix series, Griselda, which will arrive on the platform on January 25. The fiction, starring Vergara and other actors and actresses of the stature of Diego Trujillo, Vanessa Ferlito and Juliana Aidén Martínez, is based on the life of Griselda Blanco, a famous Colombian drug trafficker who was nicknamed ‘the godmother of cocaine’. .

During the last few days, the international artist has been able to enjoy the Spanish capital with the miniseries team. Last Sunday, Vergara had dinner at a good restaurant in the city with some Netflix executives, on Monday she was a guest on the El Hormiguero program and yesterday she spoke to the media at the Four Seasons hotel, at which time she was sincere and talkative.

In her meeting with journalists, the one from Barranquilla reflected on the importance of characterization for the role she plays in the new Netflix series: “You were used to seeing me pretty… And, of course, that’s not the case in the series. “I look very different.”

”For example, I had to learn to smoke and put coke up my nose, which are things I had never done before. In addition, it took three hours to put on my makeup and, when finished, it took an hour to take off everything I was wearing. She wore wigs, teeth, eyebrows, nose. And if you ask me, I won’t do it again. “It’s only six chapters because I didn’t want to wear that ugly nose anymore!” She stated at the press conference, winning over those present with his naturalness and self-confidence.

”They gave me very ugly teeth and the top ones came out many times when I was screaming. He was fighting with someone, threatening to kill them, and suddenly, boom! My teeth were falling out,’ she explained between laughs.

In addition to the makeup and production process by the team, she had to wear a bra that crushed her chest and pants that squeezed her butt to look ”less Caribbean”, something that caused her serious pain in the long run.

Throughout these days of interviews, conversations and promotion, the actress has made it clear that she is very happy with the result of the fiction and that she is looking forward to the public seeing a new version of her work. She has also explained that she hopes that many will stop seeing her as Gloria Pritchett, a character she plays in the acclaimed series Modern Family.

It should also be noted that Griselda has been a great opportunity for Vergara, since she has always wanted to work in settings such as Colombia and Mexico and participate in productions in Spanish.
