EDM DJs Skrillex and Fred Again to Host Massive Rave in San Francisco, Expected to Draw 20K Attendees

SAN FRANCISCO – Electronic dance music (EDM) fans in San Francisco are eagerly anticipating a massive rave event hosted by renowned DJs Skrillex and Fred Again. The event, scheduled for Saturday, June 1, is expected to draw a crowd of 20,000 people, making it a highly anticipated gathering for music enthusiasts in the Bay Area.

The rave, which has already sold out, was announced by Skrillex in a tweet last week, where he mentioned the abundance of new music that he and Fred Again are eager to test out. The outdoor event will take place at the San Francisco Civic Center Plaza, with doors opening at 5 p.m. and the show kicking off at 6:30 p.m.

In preparation for the event, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) has announced a series of street closures and Muni service changes to accommodate the large number of attendees. Street closures include sections of Grove, Polk, Larkin, Fulton, and Hyde streets, with varying dates and times for each closure. Additionally, Muni service changes for lines 19 and 21 will be in effect throughout the weekend to ensure smooth transportation for concert-goers.

The SFMTA has also stated that the event is scheduled to conclude by 10 p.m., allowing attendees to enjoy the music and festivities while ensuring minimal disruption to the surrounding area. With the rave set to showcase the latest tracks from Skrillex and Fred Again, fans are eagerly looking forward to an unforgettable night of music and entertainment in the heart of San Francisco.
