The Latin Grammys have left countless headlines. Rosalía’s performance singing by Rocío Jurado was one of the highlights of the night. The Catalan opened the ceremony with We broke our love, a possible dig at her recent breakup with Rauw Alejandro. However, the awards have given more than enough.
The singer Mario Jefferson has gone online to publicly denounce a lack of respect on the part of Antena 3. The network wanted the artist to perform “at zero cost” this morning at Espejo Público, with a view to paying tribute to the performance of the Motomami.
The man from Malaga has shared screenshots on his X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram accounts in which you can see how he was asked for his fees to be paid “in promotion.” The artist, far from accepting the proposal, has decided to denounce this gesture.
“Good morning, Mario, forgive me for the hours. […] I am an editor for Espejo Público on Antena 3. We are looking for someone to come to the set today to sing the song Se nos roto el amor, by Rocío Jurado, which Rosalía sang at the Grammys last night,” the journalist wrote, apologizing for the last-minute request.
Mario Jefferson has been blunt: “As you will understand, with so little rehearsal time it is impossible,” he answers the editor, highlighting that, in any case, he has not told her anything about the financial compensation either. The journalist’s response has left the artist in shock, since there would be no type of remuneration.
“Tell your director that this is not like asking for a Glovo, that there is more work behind it,” says Jefferson, politely saying goodbye to the editor. “They have the balls of Muhammad,” the young man shares on his social networks, joking about it: “yes, now I’m going to get the bread, and I’ll tell the man that it’s a promotion. And that 200 grams of chopped.”
A few minutes later, Mario confronted the network’s team: “You know who is never going to return to Antena 3, right? They are sending me audios and calling me to delete the capture. A big kiss, love, pay people for his work and then we talk.
