The MasterChef franchise is in mourning. One of his workers, this time for the Argentine edition, was found dead at his home in Caseros, a town near Buenos Aires, this week. He had been dead for two days.

This is Ian D’Ángelo, one of the contestants of another culinary talent, The Great Kitchen Prize, where viewers learned first-hand of his hard childhood. Thanks to MasterChef he continued to be involved in the culinary world, although this time as a gastronomic producer. His death at the age of 24 has generated great commotion on Argentine television.

At the age of 21, Ian D’ Ángelo became one of the most popular young people thanks to his participation in the fifth edition of The Great Kitchen Prize, a culinary talent similar to MasterChef, presented by Carina Zampini. His time on the program took him to sixth position, earning the affection of both the jury and the public.

From then on, his life was linked to cooking. Hence, he worked as a gastronomic producer on MasterChef Argentina, being one of the youngest on the team. But last weekend those close to him stopped hearing from him and concern began.

It was a friend who found him dead in bed and notified the emergency services. When they arrived at the home to try to revive him, they could do nothing for his life. Everything indicated that his death had occurred two days ago. As for the cause of death, everything indicates that it could be a heart attack, as confirmed by his closest circle.

Ian’s death has shocked Argentine public opinion, and more so because of the young man’s desire to be able to “continue growing and learning” about the world of cooking. This is what he himself expressed it days before his death on his social networks. “The results come alone, success is not necessary, but glory is and glory is the will that you put into your project to be happy,” he wrote a week before his sudden death.
