Jennifer López has become the great guest star at Paris haute couture. It does not have so much to do with her fame, nor with her number of followers, but with the ability to transfer the catwalk to the street with outfits worthy of exhibition.
The singer and actress filled the Tokyo Palace with glamour, in the midst of the chaos that entails the minutes before the Elie Saab fashion show. López has been a follower of the Lebanese designer’s creations for a long time and she did not hesitate to attend the haute couture show that evoked the complexity of the medinas of North Africa.
The American appeared with a stunning red carpet look that looked like something out of a fairy tale. A long draped design in green, with a dizzying V-neckline, which culminates in a sash cinched at the waist with a gold belt.
A print style that caught everyone’s attention thanks to a cape with three-dimensional flowers in green and violet that she wore on her shoulders. The movement of this garment that seemed “magical” was thanks to the hundreds of feathers with small rhinestone appliqués sewn onto chiffon fabric.
Jennifer Lopez also caught everyone’s attention dressed from head to toe in Schiaparelli, an outfit that featured sculptural gold glasses in the shape of slanted eyes and sideburns that simulated wavy eyebrows.
The stylistic choice was also very striking. A coat with ruffles and a lot of volume in white, with a sweater of the same tone, in contrast with black pants and stilettos.
