While personal differences have been an obstacle in Shakira and Gerard Piqué’s relationship, financial matters seem to be an area where the couple can reach agreements. Or, at least, that’s what it seems like. They have decided to put their mansions in Barcelona up for sale, a significant step in the process of their separation, and they are doing so as discreetly as possible.
The sale agreement between Shakira and Gerard Piqué covers three properties, each of them with particular characteristics that make them very attractive to potential buyers. However, it is estimated that they could collect 15 million euros for all of them.
The most notable is a 3,800 square meter mansion that stands out for its luxurious amenities. It is not only a living space, but also a complex that offers various technical possibilities for entertainment and relaxation, such as a swimming pool, a large garden, a paddle tennis court and a gym. This space seems to have served as a refuge for the couple and their children.
The second property was acquired with romantic aspirations, since Shakira and Piqué’s original intention was to remodel it according to their personal tastes. However, this project never materialized due to their separation. The house, therefore, has become a kind of monument to an unrealized future.
As for the administration of the properties, they are managed by an entity chaired by Joan Piqué, Gerard’s father. The relationship between Shakira and her ex-father-in-law has been complicated, something that the Colombian singer has not hesitated to express through her music. In her song El Jefe de ella, lines are included that seem to refer directly to him.
Despite the more than evident disagreements between all parties, everything indicates that an agreement has been reached so that all these sales are closed as soon as possible and with the utmost discretion. Neither Shakira nor Piqué have made public comments about how they will carry out the sale, but they have decided to omit promoting the sale through real estate agencies and social networks. It is clear that they want to conclude this chapter of their life without creating too much of a stir.
In this way, the singer and the current president of the Kings League seem more willing to find a common denominator when it comes to financial matters compared to more personal issues, such as the custody and well-being of their children.
