Shaila Dúrcal buys the house where she grew up with her parents: "I really wanted to be here"

Shaila Dúrcal has returned to the place where she grew up. The singer has announced that she has become the new owner of the house that she inherited with her siblings, after the death of her parents, Rocío Dúrcal and Antonio Morales, known artistically as Junior.

In an interview in Lecturas magazine, the artist explains that she has taken the step of buying the family home, closed for a decade and in which work is now intensifying to renovate it.

“We have so many memories here. I lived here since I was two months old. I always take my mother with me. She left when I was 26 years old, you learn to live with it but I always miss it. I love remembering her,” the woman explains to this medium. youngest daughter of Rocío Dúrcal and Junior.

He recognizes that the house, located in Madrid, is full of memories. Part of his mother’s ashes rest in his garden. Inside the house, he also keeps many of his belongings. “Sometimes I hug her clothes,” she continues.

The artist does not want the house to lose its family essence, so she has decided to name it Casa Dúrcal, which she will occupy every time she is in our country, when her concerts and work commitments allow it.

The youngest of the Dúrcals lives between the US and Mexico, where she works most. Despite spending a lot of time outside our country, she tells this medium that she felt the need to have her own space in Spain: “Coming to my homeland is very important for me, I am going to try to organize my time better.”

In addition, he shows his enthusiasm with the decision he has made. “I have spent my life without them and I really wanted to be here,” she concludes.
