Gone are all the moments of anguish experienced by the family of the Spanish goalkeeper Sergio Rico, after last May he suffered an accident with a horse in El Rocío, causing a head injury.
The goalkeeper was rushed to the Virgen del Rocío hospital in Seville, where the doctors had to induce a coma due to the injuries he sustained. The days passed and uncertainty had taken over the lives of his relatives, who were looking forward to receiving new news. But after several harrowing days, the goalkeeper managed to come out of a coma and from then on his state of health improved as the days went by.
Rico had to stay several more weeks in the hospital, until on August 18 he received the best of news, the doctors had released him from the hospital. Since then, Sergio Rico has been in his home, recovering little by little, but with the satisfaction that he has now been able to return to his daily life with his wife.
