The Board of Directors of RTVE plans to decide this Wednesday on the proposal that in principle will be carried out by the Management to contract ‘The Resistance’ for two years, presented by David Broncano, although the contract could be canceled at the end of the first year if it does not reach the 7.5% audience.
This is the proposal that, according to what sources from the Board of Directors have told EFE, was the intention of bringing the Management of the public entity to the Council that is being held this Tuesday to be debated and, where appropriate, voted on.
According to the same sources, it could be approved since it is not a three-year contract, as was proposed in the Council’s first proposal on the 11th, but rather it would be a two-year contract, which could remain one if it does not arrive. to the target audience.
However, it is possible that doubts continue to prevail as in the Council on the 11th, when four of the nine councilors were against a three-year contract (three from the PP and one from Podemos) and another four in favor (two from the PSOE, one from Podemos and another from the PNV).
This situation made the president and those present inclined to leave the vote for a new proposal in the next Council, which is this Wednesday.
The vote, if it occurs, will take place within a Council in which five of its nine councilors will expire this month (the three from the PP, one from the PSOE -Ramón Colom- and the one chosen by the PNV), as established by draw in 2021.
The other four councilors (two from the PSOE and two from Unidas Podemos) will remain for three more years but the vacancy left when José Manuel Pérez Tornero resigned remains to be filled.
