Today marks the 17th anniversary of the death of ‘The greatest’, RocÃo Jurado. An absence that to this day is still very present among her loved ones and in the music industry, since many of her followers continue to miss that spectacular voice of the artist. But thanks to them the memory of the singer is still intact 17 years after her.
It all happened on June 1, 2006, after the Andalusian had fought against pancreatic cancer since it was diagnosed in 2004. The person in charge of breaking the news was her brother, Amador Mohedano, who assured that the singer had deceased surrounded by all her loved ones.
With the great absence of RocÃo Jurado, her family has been involved in several controversies during all these years, which have ended up breaking any link between them. A situation that is not pleasant for any of them but they have not found the path to reconciliation either.
Now with the anniversary of her death, her niece Rosario Mohedado has shared with all her followers an emotional letter dedicated to her aunt, in which she shows the immense affection she had for her and where she has also made reference to the problems that have arisen after her departure.
“You are missed so much that even people who did not have any dealings with you know that on a day like today, 17 years ago… Why say it, right?” Rosa Benito’s daughter began by saying. ”They write to you and raise their digital voice to share with the world how they feel about your loss. They send me precious messages and it is that many people love you and remember you every day,” confessed Rosario Mohedano.
The singer assured how much she misses her aunt. ”Those of us who have treated you… there is not a day that we miss everything about you,” she wrote. In this dedication Rosario Mohedado also wanted to remember the bad time the family is going through. ” I wanted to write you a letter since last night… but honestly… it’s difficult for me because we are at a time when even giving love… she judges us and questions her. Now everyone can remember you… except us… absurd ”, she explained emphatically.
”I have no doubt about everything we have in common and I am very proud to have your blood and very present everything you taught me; Within the maelstrom that is life, I enjoy it and suffer it when it comes to it”, concluded the daughter of Amador Mohedano.
