The death of the Colombian surgeon Edwin Arrieta at the hands (supposedly) of the young Spaniard Daniel Sancho has become one of the most relevant topics on the social and media landscape. After months of legal investigation, accusations and testimonies, it seemed that nothing could surprise the followers of this cause. However, last Friday an action by Silvia Bronchalo (mother of the accused) was made public that has given an unexpected turn to the case.

As reported by Caso Abierto, the analyst went to an Alcobendas police station on February 8 to file a complaint against her ex-partner, the acclaimed film actor Rodolfo Sancho. The woman accused him of having sent her several WhatsApp messages, “insulting and harassing her.”

According to the aforementioned media, the former couple had regained contact due to the incarceration of their son Daniel in the Koh Samui prison, Thailand, last August. During the last few months, those who were once in love have been coordinating to help as much as possible in Sancho’s defense. Despite their common goal, the actor would have shown his dislike for Bronchalo on several occasions with insults such as “incapable” or “crazy.”

Although both separated several decades ago in an ”amicable” manner, recent events suggest that the relationship between the two is very tense. According to the wealth manager, Rodolfo Sancho’s alleged harassment reached such a point that he accused her of suffering from “bipolar disorder.”

After several days of uncertainty, the Fiesta program contacted Carmen Balfagón, the actor’s lawyer, and was able to learn the details of the situation, as well as the context of the messages for which Bronchalo accuses Sancho. ”We have been able to know the context in which the messages are produced (…) Rodolfo denies Silvia Bronchalo’s accusations, he is very angry,” explained collaborator Jose Ángel Leiras.

”In a state of law, when someone is accused of such a serious crime, it must be proven,” said the actor’s lawyer. The Balfagón office

”There is evidence, in the possession of our client Mr. Rodolfo Sancho Aguirre, that does reliably demonstrate serious threats and insults by Mrs. Silvia Bronchalo Santos, which are not only limited to her person, but are also extended to her lawyers. and where an express threat is made towards his partner, his daughter, a minor, and the professional career of our client,” Sancho’s legal spokespersons explain in the letter.
