RocÃo Carrasco’s life is full of comings and goings. The daughter of RocÃo Jurado does not stop making trips, events and appearances of different kinds throughout the Iberian Peninsula, whether artistic or related to her television collaborations. However, from time to time some of these events can overlap one another, causing curious coincidences. It has been the case that has occurred this week, when the businesswoman has not been able to attend a tribute to her mother.
The Sanctuary of the Virgen de Regla, in the Cadiz town of Chipiona, organized a mass last weekend as a tribute to the celebrated artist, who died seventeen years ago. It is in this town where the artist was born and now rests, who died on June 1, 2006 from pancreatic cancer. Part of her family and acquaintances of hers, such as José Ortega Cano, Mari Carmen Ortega or Carrasco’s daughter, RocÃo Flores; attended the event.
However, RocÃo mother was not on the list of participants, something that raised some questions throughout the week. The person involved responded to the doubts before the microphone of Semana magazine. Carrasco had just arrived from a train trip when she was questioned on the subject, and her answer was simple. Her absence was due to the fact that she participated in an event in Pamplona, which prevented her from going to Chipiona to fulfill the annual custom.
However, the collaborator insisted that she pays tribute to her mother every day, which is always in her memory. Part of it was demonstrated in a detail of the event in Chipiona that a few were able to capture. According to the cultural association in the name of her mother, Carrasco covered RocÃo Jurado’s grave with flowers with the help of an external company. The group, with whom RocÃo had run-ins in the past, wholeheartedly appreciated her gesture.
Beyond her mother’s questions, Semana magazine also asked the collaborator of ‘Sálvame’ about the status of her presenter, Jorge Javier Vázquez. The veteran driver surprisingly announced that he was leaving television last weekend. The last image that was had of Badalona until now was with Carrasco at the Teatro Coliseum in Madrid, where they both attended a performance of the play ‘Aladdin’.
RocÃo did not give many details about it, but she indicated her interest in her partner recovering soon. She said that she saw him as good, but for deeper answers she redirected them to Jorge Javier himself: “We had a great time, we were great and I see it as good, but you have to ask him about that.”
