Seville will enjoy a new luxury hotel from the hands of a Hollywood star next spring. As reported by the EFE agency, the Seville capital will welcome this hotel that belongs to the Nobu Hospitality company, founded by the iconic American actor, director and producer Robert de Niro.

The establishment, located in the heart of the Andalusian capital, will have 27 rooms with views of the Plaza de San Francisco, opposite the City Hall. The company’s own website has indicated that the hotel will have “elegant rooms and suites or a Nobu restaurant overlooking the Roman wall with seats on the terrace.”

Robert de Niro embarks on this adventure together with the film producer Meir Teper, and the popular chef Nobu Matsuhisa. To carry out the creation of the five-star hotel, three buildings have been rehabilitated at numbers 11 and 12 of San Francisco square and 36 Álvarez Quintero street, giving rise to an incredible space with a gym, spa, roof terrace with swimming pool and dining room with views of the Cathedral.

Trevor Horwell, CEO of Nobu Hospitality, says: “We are delighted to partner with Millennium Hospitality Real Estate on our third hotel and restaurant, following the San Sebastian and Madrid announcements, and to open our sixth Spanish hotel for the brand. Seville is a charming and historic city that has become a must-visit destination for many of our Nobu guests and we are confident that the brand will be embraced by local residents and international travelers alike.”

The four-story hotel does not have a specific opening date, although the company assures that it will open its doors in spring, coinciding with the famous April Fair that characterizes the city after Easter. Seville’s capital has been chosen to host this luxurious hotel for its “charming traditional Sevillian architecture, its cobbled streets, its ardent flamenco dancing, its pioneering tapas bars and the characteristic aroma of orange blossom that permeates the entire city” making it “the incorporation perfect fit for Nobu Hotel’s growing portfolio.”

Likewise, according to El Diario de Sevilla, the construction process was interrupted by the discovery of the previously mentioned Roman wall, completely changing the appearance of the city. This structure, about 8-10 meters high and 3.25 meters wide, is located in the rear dividing wall of the house that is part of the hotel, so it will be integrated into its patio.
