Revealed the reason why Carmen Borrego is called 'Potota', a nickname that outrages the youngest of the Campos

Survivors 2024 is giving a lot to talk about thanks to the mechanics of the contest and, above all, the plots that its contestants are generating. And, as expected, one of those who is giving the most minutes is Carmen Borrego. Terelu Campos’ sister is becoming the undisputed protagonist of the contest, not only because of her comical moments, but because of her anger.

One of them has had them with his friend Kike Calleja. The presenter referred to María Teresa Campos’ daughter as ‘Pototi’ during a heated moment. Something that the survivor did not like at all. “You know that those jokes don’t suit me, you know that you have hurt me with that,” she said.

And this name has much more history than it seems, and the program Let’s See wanted to bring it to light. It was her friend Belén Rodríguez who revealed about her during the reality express Sálvame Okupa that when she was little they referred to her as ‘Cotota’. “To me it seems like a super affectionate nickname that few people knew about it and it makes her very angry,” the journalist confessed.

And it was in a coverage of Socialité that the program mislabeled a piece of news and said: “Belén Ro calls Carmen Borrego ‘Potota’.” From that moment on, Alejandra Rubio’s aunt was left with that burden forever.

But, without a doubt, it was Kiko Hernández who was responsible for making Carmen Borrego known as ‘Potota’ today. Her collaborator decided to change her name for several months due to the multiple operations she underwent. For this reason, he wanted to draw a parallel between Borrego and the Mr. Potato toy.

Even so, Let’s See has wanted to redefine the word and find a positive side to it. “It is said of a girl or woman who is graceful or flirtatious. Although it can also be used for a cuddly or affectionate woman,” is the true description, according to a Latin American dictionary. Something that is not surprising that Carmen Borrego ends up liking it.
