Nostalgia has taken over low-cost fashion brands. In recent weeks we have seen how Bershka has launched different t-shirt designs inspired by iconic series from the 90s and 2000s, such as Friends or Gossip Girl. Some garments that have already gone viral and now have a new addition from Primark.
The Irish chain has included in its latest collection one of the most desired t-shirts of the moment by its protagonists: the Spice Girls. The popular group formed by Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Mel B and Mel C returns to fashion with a basic design in white and a print that their millions of fans will instantly recognize.
Primark has chosen the cover of the British girl band’s second album, called Spiceworld. This album was published in November 1997 and among its most listened to songs were Spice Up Your Life, Stop or Too Much, which quickly rose to number 1 on the different music charts.
Twenty-seven years later, the low-cost brand has recovered this image where you can see the essence of each spicy girl. Mel B appears in a black two-piece set with slits that leaves her abdomen visible; Geri, in a red bodysuit and a striking blue fur jacket; Emma, ??with a short-sleeved blue minidress and her two characteristic bows; Victoria, in a leopard-print minidress with a strapless neckline, and Mel C, in a sports outfit consisting of a pink top and blue sweatpants.
A historical image that stars in this design that can be purchased for 14 euros and is available in Primark’s in-person stores in a wide variety of sizes, from XS to XXXL.
