Plex is arguably one of the most prominent new wave content creators of the current generation. The virtual identity of Daniel Alonso from Zamora has 12 million followers on his YouTube channel, where some of the most incredible experiences on the Google platform have been seen. From his surprising trip around the world in 80 days, which ends tomorrow, to his meeting with Frank Cuesta after a brief rivalry.

As a prelude to the party with which he will put an end to his odyssey, Plex visited El Hormiguero by Pablo Motos this Wednesday, in a week in which the actresses Penélope Cruz and Brigitte Nielsen had already visited the set. The young native of the town of Toro has been able to highlight several aspects of his life and his career in networks with the Requena presenter, in an interview that he gave a lot of himself during the broadcast of the program.

One of the highlights of the talk with Motos has been the conflict that Plex had with Frank Cuesta, the naturalist known for the program Frank of the Jungle and his animalistic experiences in Thailand. The controversy broke out in early 2023, after the Zamorano YouTuber recorded a video at home with a capybara as a pet. This species, native to South America, is not designed to live in a closed environment.

The clip cost Plex a wave of controversy and insults across different platforms, which ended up reaching Frank Cuesta himself. The herpetologist explained in another video published on his own YouTube channel that these animals are more accustomed to a wild environment, but the story would end with a happy ending between the two. Cuesta ended up inviting Plex to Thailand to better understand his vision and make contact with capybaras in his natural habitat.

“A year ago I was very obsessed with generating new, different content. My TikTok algorithm recommended videos of people who had a pet capybara. I brought one to my house, out of ignorance and without malice. I made a video with the capybara, and it was the worst and best thing that happened to me in a long time. It got a lot going. The nets burst against me. Frank, who preaches the opposite, made a video,” explained the Toro native.

“I wondered if he was really a bad person. I made another video expressing my feelings, and Frank invited me to Thailand. He helped me a lot. From there I understood that with my videos I influenced people, because I did it for mere entertainment,” the YouTuber concluded, understanding the strength of his actions and the large number of people he could reach, in a way or other.
