Antonio Tejado has been behind bars for a month, accused of being linked to a criminal group specialized in robberies in homes in the Sevillian town of Aljarafe. The news of his arrest on February 9 was especially surprising due to his involvement in the robbery of the home of María del Monte, his own aunt.
As expected, this event has marked a before and after in their relationship. For the moment, the singer, very hurt by the situation, has not visited her nephew and has wanted to distance herself from him at all times. On the other hand, her mother and her girlfriend Samara have gone to see him.
The fact that María del Monte did not want to visit Antonio Tejado in the Seville prison, where he is in preventive detention awaiting trial and unable to pay bail due to having a criminal record, can be interpreted as a clear indicator of the state current of your relationship.
Despite the presence of other family members who have come to see him, the singer’s absence suggests a possible breakup or, at least, a pause in their relationship, perhaps while waiting for the investigations that are being carried out to reveal light on Tejado’s true role in the robberies before making any decisions about their future relationship.
Even so, they have not said anything that suggests that their position is completely defined. Initially, faced with the avalanche of questions from the media, both the singer and Inmaculada, her partner, opted for silence, asking for respect and space to process the impact and reduce the media pressure surrounding the case.
Likewise, they insisted on the importance of the presumption of innocence, a principle that Tejado’s family has adhered to from the beginning, while maintaining their full confidence in the authorities and in the ongoing judicial process. Therefore, equidistance and time will tell.
