The death of O.J. Simpson closes one of the most controversial media chapters in American history. The former player of the Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers of the NFL, has died at the age of 76 after cancer. Despite his long football career, the murder of his wife Nicole Brown Simpson in 1994 changed his life completely. Both the trial and the police chase went down in the history of American television.

However, this has not been the only legal problem he has dealt with. In the late 1990s, Simpson attempted to register her initials and her name, as well as the nickname The Juice, for commercial purposes related to merchandising. However, he encountered a countersuit from William B. Ritchie, who considered this move scandalous and wanted to stop it. The deceased would end up quitting in 2000.

His life was also full of controversies surrounding other personal relationships, in particular one he had with the mother of the Kardashian family, one of the most viral in the country and the entire world. All of this happened in 1991, while Kris Jenner was married to Rob Kardashian, leading to a night together that would end in the emergency room. The matriarch of the family had to be taken to a medical center for a vaginal tear.

This was revealed in 2019 by Norman Pardo, who was the former athlete’s representative at the time, in a recording to which the New York Post has had access. Pardo spoke about it in the documentary ‘Who killed Nicole?’, which explains the complete chronology of the crime of O.J.’s wife. Simpson and how Rob Kardashian, his defense attorney and the husband of the woman he slept with, got him declared not guilty.

“I stood up and pulled down my pants, her eyes popped out and we did it until I broke her. Kris came to O.J.’s living room. and said, ‘Can you take me to the hospital?’ He said, ‘No. Let Rob do it,’” were Pardo’s explanations regarding the actions of his client. This notorious incident took place in a jacuzzi where both the couple and the player and representative duo were, before the two protagonists were left alone.

Pardo also pointed out during that recording that Simpson’s confession ended the friendship between his marriage and that of the Kardashians. Despite this, years later Rob would end up defending O.J. and preventing the charge of Nicole’s murder from falling on him. The resolution was one of the most important televised events worldwide, with an estimated audience of 100 million people and a considerable decline in global activity.
