Neymar’s family is possibly one of the most bizarre to understand on the football planet. From the deep connection that the soccer player has with his sister, Rafaella Santos, to the point of always getting injured around her birthday; until his mother Nadine’s failed relationship with professional gamer Tiago Ramos, six years younger than the Paris Saint-Germain player. However, the last strange occurrence of the family nucleus has been the work of his father.
Neymar Da Silva Santos was arrested last Thursday in the town of Mangaratiba, Rio de Janeiro, for an alleged crime against the environment. The soccer player’s father would have carried out a prohibited construction in his son’s mansion in the town, something that alerted the Municipal Secretary of the Environment of the place, the Environmental Military Police and the agents of the Environmental Protection Group.
The complaint came at the request of the Mangaratiba city council, after Neymar Sr. published a video on his Instagram of the works on the house. As could be seen in the images, the soccer player intermediary would have built an artificial lake on the farm with the collaboration of the Genesis Ecosistemas company. According to the published complaint, this construction “promoted deforestation, breaking rocks and diverting a river.”
The creation of said lake in the house of the Brazilian soccer player would accumulate a series of irregularities that could translate into environmental violations, such as “the diversion of water courses, unauthorized collection of river water, movement of land, excavation and movement of stones and unauthorized rocks. Faced with such a situation, the father of the PSG player has been fined an amount close to one million euros.
However, the story of this arrest does not end with the fine. Once assured that a crime was being committed, the authorities went to the building to arrest the person involved. Far from giving himself up peacefully, Neymar Sr. threatened the Mangaratiba environmental agents who showed up at the home, as well as arguing agitatedly with the town’s Municipal Secretary for the Environment, Shayenne Barreto.
This is just one more chapter of the strange stories that Neymar’s family stars in concurrently. This same week, the player of the Ligue 1 champions issued a public apology to his current partner, Bruna Biancardi, for an infidelity that the Brazilian would have committed. Precisely the couple also sounded in the media after a series of agreements between the two so that the footballer could sleep with other women without breaking the relationship.
