All of Spain is awaiting the imprisonment and the legal case of which Antonio Tejado is accused. Two weeks ago, the former television collaborator was arrested accused of belonging to a criminal gang of thieves that was dedicated to robbing luxury homes in the Seville area with violence and intimidation.
According to the police investigation, Tejado would have been the intellectual author of the assault on his aunt María del Monte’s house and other residences, which is why the Investigating Judge number 16 of Seville ordered his admission to prison without bail. In addition to the Sevillian, five other people were imprisoned. Among those detained is ‘El Ruso’, alleged leader of the gang.
According to what has been learned, Antonio Tejado is determined to improve his public image during his stay in prison and is already working on a strategy to turn the case around. “He has started a marquetry course, he has resumed his forestry guard exams, he has asked the priest for help to go to mass and they have given him a rosary to say his prayers,” revealed journalist Kike Calleja a couple of days ago on the Fiesta program .
The same communicator revealed to the audience that Tejado would have asked not to have television in the cell to be oblivious to everything that is being said about him in the media.
As the investigation progresses, the Police are discovering new information about the alleged illegal actions of Tejado and his companions. Now it has been revealed that the Civil Guard suspects that the gang carried out extortion in the name of Tejado, so the relationship between the former talk show host and his friends was not as good or reciprocal as he thought. These suspicions are recorded in the report sent to the court investigating the assault.
In addition, as reported by El Diario de Sevilla, the agents intercepted two GPS devices that would have been used to locate different vehicles. In this way, the authorities do not rule out that Antonio has acted as an informant for other criminal acts similar to the assault on María del Monte’s house and that he has used GPS to obtain key information for said robberies.
In the aforementioned report, the Civil Guard collects different wiretaps of conversations between Tejado and his mother, María José. In these calls, Tejado confesses to his mother different episodes of violence, something that sets off all the alarms and makes the woman very nervous.
In a telephone conversation between mother and son on December 1, María José asked Antonio to stay away from said companies: ”Go home now, you have a face that is not yours and don’t pick up the phone from Those of the friends you have are shameless, those people are disgusting, they only serve to cause harm.
