A haven of peace surrounded by nature in the heart of Girona, where you can enjoy the landscape, sports and the best wellness experience. At the Camiral Golf resort

The resident biologist Oriol Dalmau is in charge of caring for the flora and fauna of the 500-hectare Mediterranean forest that surrounds the exclusive facilities and the five-star hotel. His objective is to preserve and improve the biodiversity of the area, especially the aquatic ecosystems, key to the proper functioning and stability of the ecology of the golf courses. All these cares allow a more sustainable and much richer practice of golf, but they also offer guests the possibility of getting to know a little more about the nature that surrounds them with various activities such as bird watching and hiking or cycling routes along the Camí Ral that crosses the resort. It is precisely on this path that the new name of the hotel, which was previously known as PGA Catalunya, was inspired.

Sport and contact with nature are part of the holistic wellness experience offered by Camiral Golf

The Wellness Center also offers retreats throughout the year with specific programs that are inaugurated this spring with the Renew retreat

Another five-day sports recovery retreat is also planned for those who want to improve their athletic performance. And already in autumn two other retreats will be held, one to strengthen the immune system and another to alleviate insomnia and exhaustion. And, all this, carried out in an avant-garde environment, designed by Lagula Architects, which connects visitors with nature through spaces with abundant natural light and native plants.

An experience that is completed with the seven new suites located in the five-star hotel and part of The Leading Hotels of the World, with direct connection to the Wellness Centre, designed by the prestigious London studio Bryan O’Sullivan Studio. The Camiral Suites, measuring 74 m2, aim to immerse guests in an environment of total well-being, integrated with the nature that surrounds the complex.

To this end, the interior designers have equipped the suites with European-made furniture and lighting to reduce CO2 emissions and have selected locally sourced materials. A nature that can also be enjoyed from the resort’s golf courses, the best in Spain according to Golf World magazine, and one of the 20 best in the world. Its two courses, the Stadium and the Tour Course, have hosted top-level international and national tournaments, and are considered a masterpiece in terms of circuit design. Also a masterpiece for the palate is the signature menu that David Vives has created for the 1477 restaurant, one of the four in the resort, with clearly European influences, but inspired by its Catalan roots.
