Monica Lewinsky knows how to use her image to send a powerful political message. A little more than half a year before the United States presidential elections, well-known personalities from very different fields have mobilized on social networks to encourage people to go out and vote. “Your vote matters,” the slogans claim.

Lewinsky’s encourages all women to “use their voice” at the polls through a fashion campaign by the Reformation brand in collaboration with the non-profit organization, Vote.org. “Voting is using your voice to be heard, and this is what most defines a democracy,” says the activist in a statement.

Since her affair with the then president of the United States, Bill Clinton, came to light, the national and international press made her the most hated woman in the country, publicly calling her “America’s whore.” That happened almost thirty years ago and today, at 50 years old, she has become a symbol of MeToo.

Lewinsky has long been empowering women to use their voices to report abuse. For this reason, Reformation invites the activist to use her influence to encourage women to exercise their democratic rights.

And, although good styling doesn’t fix the world, it is also a good starting point for going to the polls to vote. Strong silhouettes, elegant tailoring and the use of sustainable materials are the bases of this new collection that reminds all customers that “you have the power.”
