Minister Mónica García's harsh criticism of 'Masterchef' after the pressure on a contestant who decided to abandon

Masterchef has been in the lives of viewers nationwide since 2013. A contest that has managed to win the affection of the public and has already issued twenty editions, among all its variants. And it is now that the 12th season of its anonymous version is being broadcast, one that is giving a lot to talk about.

From the first day, criticism has continued due to the low level of the contestants, among other things. However, the networks have exploded like never before due to what happened on the program last Wednesday when a contestant decided to leave for the sake of her mental health.

After a very tense program, Tamara made a decision that the judges did not like. “I’m leaving, I’m saying goodbye voluntarily because I don’t feel comfortable. I’m not giving everything I would like and I’m constantly nervous, in tension, under pressure… I understand that it’s a program, we all make a decision and I want to make it.” , he sentenced.

After this, he assured that he did not want to disappoint the judges, but that it was the best option for the sake of his mental integrity. Some words that did not soften the heart of Jordi Cruz, who showed great anger and did not hesitate to throw the contestant off the set, after taking off her apron: “Pepe is asking you questions. I wouldn’t ask you any. I would only tell you : ‘Very good, bye'”.

A reaction that was not liked at all on social networks, which point out that it is “absolutely intolerable” that a person who has made a decision for their mental health is treated like this. Something that the Minister of Health, Mónica García, has also not hesitated to talk about.

“No, prioritizing emotional well-being over hectic paces of life is not selfishness, but a brave decision,” he stated on his X (Twitter) account. “Our commitment to mental health involves addressing the causes that make life hurt. We do not want a society doped with caffeine and anxiolytics,” she added forcefully.

This attitude on the part of Jordi Cruz has not surprised viewers, but many have wanted to recriminate her on networks. “María del Monte and Patricia Conde walked so Tamara could run,” said one user. “Masterchef is a manual for bullies and harassers. A program where competitiveness and submission are rewarded and, for the benefit of the show, confrontation is sought,” added another.

And some viewers have wanted to put the case of Verónica Forqué on the table to look for similarities in this case and to point out that “nothing has been learned from what happened.” “I wish that on her day Verónica Forqué had done the same thing that Tamara did yesterday,” one of them stated.
