Minerva Piquero was one of the most famous communicators in our country in the 90s. The television presenter participated in different audiovisual projects and was part of some successful programs that catapulted her to the top of the Spanish television industry.
For some years now, Piquero has focused on working in communication agencies, where he has also achieved success reaching leadership and management positions. Currently, she combines her work as communication director at Sygris with the dissemination and entertainment program Disfruta Madrid, a television space of the Madrid regional channel.

The presenter has suffered from hypothyroidism for years, a condition that made her gain weight and which she spoke openly about in an intimate interview she did for the heart magazine Semana.
The presenter said in the interview that she was never aware of her success and that she fondly remembers the time when people stopped her in the streets to ask for her autographs and some photographs.
Regarding hypothyroidism, the woman explained that she is currently “phenomenal”, but that when it was detected it was normal because she was physically unwell and she gained a lot of weight, her hair fell out, she had dry skin, sadness , etc. In addition, the presenter confessed that people criticized her on the street: “They told me ‘how fat you are.’ Sorry? After a trajectory of more than 20 years, is there nothing more to tell me?”.
He also said that anyone in his situation would have cried when hearing the comments and news about his physique, but that it seemed that he had no right to complain about having had a public job.
After having had a bad time and having suffered a lot, the Asturian woman is living a happy period of her life and is dealing with the disease in a different way. “It took me many years because it’s not a medication, it’s finding the dose,” said the presenter while she explained that her age also influenced a lot and that she suffered a hormonal cocktail.
To end the interview, Piquero stated that she is happy to be back on TV with a “so beautiful” program and that she is lucky to also have a family that loves her and a couple that cares for her every day.
