In addition, the American participated in one of the most popular comedy series of the last two decades, New Girl.

But despite her successful professional career in the world of acting, the actress is currently going through a difficult personal moment. This Wednesday, Olivia Nunn announced through her Instagram profile that she was suffering from breast cancer.

”I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I hope that by sharing this it helps others find comfort, inspiration and support in her own journey,’ the actress wrote alongside a carousel of images in which we can see her in a hospital bed and receiving treatment.

”In February 2023, in an attempt to be proactive with my health, I took a genetic test to check if I had any of the 90 genes that can cause cancer. I tested negative for all of them, including BRCA (the best known of all in breast cancer). My sister Sara tested negative too. That same winter I also had a mammogram. Two months later, I was diagnosed with breast cancer,” the interpreter explained.

Likewise, the actress explained that since then she had had to undergo different medical interventions and many days in bed. ”Surprisingly I have only cried twice. “I don’t think I felt it was time to cry,” she said. ”I feel lucky that they caught it in time, since I have options. I want the same for any woman who has to face this one day,’ she stressed. Finally, the American appreciated the treatment she was receiving from all the medical staff at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles and Saint John’s Hospital in Santa Monica.
