Marta López Álamo and Kiko Matamoros are going through one of their best moments. Since last June they celebrated their spectacular wedding in the Spanish capital surrounded by their loved ones and their closest friends, the couple remains just as in love as when they met. And despite the continuous criticism they have received due to their age difference, the model and the former collaborator of Sálvame have decided to turn a deaf ear to these types of comments and live their love regardless of what they will say.

They opened up about this whole matter in the new Club 313 program, the podcast presented by YouTubers Goorgo, Nil Ojeda and Werlyb. The couple, who do not usually give many interviews together, sat down to chat with the three content creators to talk about their professional projects, their married life and the problems that have arisen as a result of their relationship.

Regarding the large age difference between the two, Marta López assured that those types of comments “had always not mattered to her.” ”I have never cared about what my parents have told me about who I am or aren’t with or what I do or don’t do because I have always been a very responsible girl, and I still am, and very independent. I do what I want because I want to do it, I don’t have to explain myself to anyone. And my parents have never judged me,’ she declared.

Of course, she claimed to be fed up with people not respecting her decision to be with someone 40 years older than her. ”It’s a cliché but love has no age. You fall in love with the person and we are very champions of “you have to tolerate everything” and then we accept what we want and what is good for us, “she said.

Likewise, the model confessed that her life had taken a radical turn after her relationship with Kiko Matamoros. ”People have a lot of prejudices because they believe that you are with someone for something more than simply that you have fallen in love. I started with him because I fell in love with him despite his circumstances. For me it was very hard because I have never wanted to get into television (…) Therefore, what interest can I have in a person who is totally incompatible with the profession that I develop, especially here in Spain?”, declared.

For this reason, López Álamo confessed that his relationship with Sálvame’s former collaborator had harmed him in his profession. ”When I started with him, Telecinco gave a lot of followers and a lot of visibility. Kiko has given me followers, but her work is not an accepted profession in a society that claims to be feminist but then judges you by the person you are with,’ he clarified.

And the model explained that in the hypothetical case that she was with someone different, her person would be valued much more. ”If I were with a footballer or a film director or someone from the fashion industry I would be valued much more. “I am worth the same being with him as being single, but they judge me for being with him and it has harmed me in my work,” she asserted.
