If raising a baby is not easy, two even less so. And the task is even more complicated if they are premature. For this reason, Mario Marzo wanted to give visibility to this situation on the occasion of World Premature Children’s Day, which was celebrated on November 17.
Through a video on Instagram, Marzo not only recounted her experience, but also wanted to offer comfort and hope to other couples who may be going through similar circumstances.
Marzo’s story focuses on the pregnancy of his partner, Ana Campos, who was admitted to the hospital at risk of premature birth at 25 weeks of gestation, well below the 40 weeks that constitute a full-term pregnancy. For 70 days, Campos was at rest, a period that Marzo has described as filled with anguish and fear.
Finally, Luca and Leo, the couple’s twins, were born, which marked the end of a period of uncertainty that made them fear for the lives of the babies, but also of the mother. “We came from having a perfect pregnancy, to not knowing if they were going to make it through. We celebrated every day as a victory.”
The actor has emphasized the importance of maintaining an optimistic attitude in these difficult times. “He saved us from having a positive attitude,” Marzo said in his video, in which he also shows images of the pregnancy.
Its message is clear and direct: despite adversity, it is essential not to lose hope and trust in the process. Thus, Marzo has emphasized that, although the experience is very difficult, the fundamental thing is to take care of one’s mental health and maintain patience so as not to fall into despair or attract negative thoughts that do no good. Of course, he has recognized that it is complicated to put it into practice.
In Marzo’s own words, it is an experience that will finally become an anecdote, a chapter of life that, although difficult, strengthens and unites families. “You’re doing the best you can,” the actor recalled, making it clear that this type of situation usually has a happy ending.
