Marc and Álex Márquez repeat their iconic video of the Martian trend at the Le Mans MotoGP circuit

If something characterizes Marc and Álex Márquez, it is their sense of humor. The Catalan brothers are two of the most charismatic riders on the MotoGP grid, so it is common to see them share ingenious content on their respective social networks; scares between siblings, car rides with laughter and even some of the most notable trends on TikTok. This weekend, the Motorcycle World Championship has landed in France, at the Le Mans Circuit, from where they have recreated one of their most viral videos in recent weeks.

It was in mid-April when the Cervera brothers joined the famous ‘trend’ of the ‘sitting Martian’. At that time, the publication went viral on TikTok, where it accumulated more than 8 million views on the renowned social network, as well as more than 654,000 likes. Then, MotoGP fans applauded the ingenuity of the Márquez family to recreate a ‘trend’ that has become so viral in recent weeks.

This weekend both have reappeared again at the Le Mans Circuit, where MotoGP is competing in the fifth Grand Prix of the 2024 season. Taking advantage of the free time on the circuit, the brothers decided to go for a bike ride, which would end with both recreating the famous ‘trend’ of the Martian but in pure ‘Made in Márquez’ style.

In the video, shared on the eight-time World Champion’s TikTok account, both appear changing the lyrics of the ‘trend’, amidst the laughter of those around them. “A Martian? A Martian sitting on his bike on the Le Mans track who wants to pedal,” they repeated, laughing. At the end of the video, Marc lifts the bike with his arms and starts dancing.

The publication has gone viral in a few hours and has accumulated nearly 600,000 views and another 59,300 likes. “He has an obsession with the Martian,” says a follower of Marc, adding an emoticon while laughing. “What language did they end up speaking?” jokes another. “The humor of these two is from another league,” can be read in another comment. “Mark! “You like a gear more than a motorcycle,” says another user.

Marc Márquez is now in a good moment on a professional level. After four years marked by injuries and lack of confidence in his old bike, the Honda, he currently competes for Ducati’s Gresini Racing, a team with which he has once again stood on the podium. Precisely, there are several great moments that the Cervera pilot has left us this season, starring in iconic dances on the podiums to the rhythm of the music. And if the two brothers do not lack something, apart from talent on the motorcycle, it is a sense of humor.
