“If you ever see me on the street, I’ve probably created a look that wasn’t meant to be the way I wear it.” María Pombo accompanied with these words an image on Instagram Stories that quickly worried her more than 3.1 million followers.
The Madrid influencer published the photo from the airport, and while waiting for her flight to depart, she showed her chosen look. The businesswoman opted to travel by plane with a comfortable outfit that featured an oversized gray blazer from Mango, a white top with a round neckline, a miniskirt from Tipi Tent – one of her fashion brands – and some boots from Nícoli.
But what her fans didn’t know was that María had transformed the skirt. “The skirt is a long one that I love but today I felt that it looked better on me short,” she said in the following Instagram story, where she showed how to shorten this piece in just a few seconds and with the help of an accessory that we all have at home: a belt.
Pombo thus revealed a style trick that is very easy to copy. You just have to raise the skirt to the desired height, turn the excess fabric inside out and secure it with a belt. In this case, María was wearing a very thin black one with a gold buckle that gathered the fabric perfectly.
The woman from Madrid covered the belt with her own excess fabric and placed her white top on top to prevent the satin fabric that she had collected from being seen. A trick that the it girl performed at the same airport because to pass the security check she had to take off her belt.
In order to adopt this trick, you must take into account the fabric of the skirt, since for example with a denim fabric it is practically impossible for it to look good. It is best to opt for satin fabric designs like the one María wore. The price of the skirt is 57 euros and it is available in all sizes.
