El Hormiguero receives Maluma tonight, in his last week before saying goodbye for the summer. The Colombian artist comes to present his new single ‘Coco loco’ and anticipates that he is finishing his next album, ‘Don Juan’
The Colombian artist has just started a new tour and, although it is being a success, he says that the concert he remembers most fondly is that of ‘Medallo en el mapa’, in Medellín in 2022. In it, he performed with artists like Madona . Maluma tells for the first time in the Hormiguero that this concert was difficult to orchestrate because Madona almost canceled his performance a week after the concert.
The singer sent him an audio message from What’s app in which he told him that he could not attend due to “personal commitments”. To which Maluma quickly responded with a call to try to convince the singer that she could not miss the concert.
“I had to beg him to come,” explains the Colombian. The only way for him to perform was to go solo for rehearsals and leave after the performance. She did so, so Maluma offered her her house so that both she and her team had a place to stay.
It seems that the nice words that Maluma said to him had an effect and he accepted his proposal. 27 people traveled to the Colombian’s home in Medellín and stayed for 8 days.
However, the almost cancellation of Madona was not the only unforeseen event that the concert had. One night Maluma received a call from the singer from her house telling her “loudly” that she had lost power and that she had to fix it.
The Colombian artist confesses that this blackout must have been caused by the number of people in the house, so he sent someone from his team to solve the problem. “I passed the brown to Ramito to take care of it”
He had to put in power plants to recover power throughout the house. Luckily, despite this incident, for the Colombian singer “the concert went down in history”
