The cast of “Legends of Tomorrow” has just finished filming the entirety of Season 2 on Monday, and to share the milestone with fans, series star Caity Lotz shared some photos from the season’s last day of shooting.
In a batch of photos she shared of Instagram, Lotz — who plays Sara Lance on the CW series — smiles to the camera along with her male co-stars Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory), Nick Zano (Nate Heywood), Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer) and Franz Drameh (Jax Jefferson).
Purcell also took to Instagram to express how grateful he is for the show’s crew, who has worked so hard since they started filming Season 2. The actor ended his post by writing that they all deserve their four-month break.
A few days ago, John Barrowman also uploaded a picture from his last day of shooting for the sophomore run of the series. The photo shows Barrowman — who portrays Malcolm Merlyn on the series — posing to the camera with his fellow Legion of Doom actors Matt Letscher (Eobard Thawne) Neal McDonough (Damien Darhk) and Wentworth Miller (Leonard Snart).
Plot details about the show’s Season 2 finale are being kept under wraps, but series star Maisie Richardson-Sellers — who plays Amaya Jiwe on the “Arrow”-“The Flash” offshoot — revealed on Instagram last week that the legends are heading back to World War I in Season 2, episode 17.
The snapshot posted by Richardson-Sellers comes with the caption “WW1,” and shows Amaya and Sara in nurse uniforms, along with Mick and Nate in soldier getups.
The episode is titled “Aruba,” which probably refers to the constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the southern Caribbean Sea. While it’s likely that the Legends will be visiting Aruba in the finale, the title may have a completely different significance in the installment.
“Legends of Tomorrow” Season 2, episode 17 airs on Tuesday, April 4 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
